Wage Reopener Agreement 1999

In accord with Article XXXVII of the Agreement between the Board of Trustees of Union County College and the Union County College Chapter of the American Association of University Professors: September 1, 1997 to August 31, 2000, the parties agree to the following:

1. A wage increase for all full-time faculty and librarians covered by the Board-AAUP contract of 3.5% on the mean of the rank beginning September 1, 1999 for academic year 1999-2000. Minimums or maximums by academic rank do not change. All other financial and health and welfare benefits provided in the current contract remain in effect.

2. A memorandum of understanding, incorporated into this agreement as presented below, that Article XIII of the Board-AAUP contract, especially Section D and E on Post Tenure Review, is accepted as modified below without further negotiations for the new contract beginning September 1, 2000.

 

Memorandum of Understanding Concerning Article XIII of the Contract

Union County College and the Union County College Chapter of the American Association of University Professors have reached agreement that: Article XIII of the Board-AAUP contract as modified below will be included without further negotiations into the contract which is scheduled to take effect September 1, 2000. The modifications are as follows:

1. Article XIII, D, 2 Material of Evaluation is modified to read: "beginning with faculty evaluated in the year 2001."

2. Article XIII, D, 2 Material of Evaluation is modified to read "above for at least two academic years prior to the evaluation."

3. Article XIII, D, 2,b, (2) is omitted. Subsequent sections are renumbered accordingly.

4. Article XIII, D, 1, c is modified to read: " and/or community service."
