ARTICLE VI

The Board hereby retains and reserves unto itself all powers, right, authority, duties, and responsibilities conferred upon and vested in it by the laws and Constitution of the State of New Jersey and of the United States.
The exercise of the foregoing powers, rights, authority, duties, or responsibilities of the Board, the adoption of policies, rules, regulations, and practices in the furtherance thereof, and the use of judgment and discretion in connection therewith, shall be limited by the terms of this Agreement, and then only to the extent such terms are in conformance with the Constitution and Laws of New Jersey and of the United States.
Nothing contained in this Agreement shall be construed to limit the freedom of the Board or its agents to deal with governmental agencies, and professional organizations, such as the national office of the American Association of University Professors, provided however, that this dealing shall not repeal, rescind, or be otherwise inconsistent with the terms and conditions of this Agreement.
